Welcome to the House on the Hill

Welcome to our first 'House on the Hill' blog post. We are hoping to keep you all updated as to how we will go building our new house. We are understandably excited to share the journey with you all. Where we purchased land, there were two blocks available. One seemed completely unsuitable for building a flat level house, and our first preference was for a block of land that was largely flat.

Brad Creighton from Land Gipps told us that the block of land that we really wanted was actually not available as it was under contract. However, after the person who had tried unsuccessfully to get finance failed, it opened up to the market again and we were lucky enough to snap it up.

We had already talk to the independent builders network as we have friends who built their house using local builders who were part of the IBN group of builders, and they spoke favourably of them. We therefore were put in touch with Lifestyle Boutique Home Builders, and Will and Crystal presented their services very nicely, and we, without hesitation, decided that they were a right fit for us to build our new home.

We had a look at many of the home designs that the IBN group do, however decided that a better option was to custom build a house with our own plans, which we did.
